My boyfriend reached the top of the gamer career (again, I LOVE the fact you get limited options on what you can pick rather than just going wherever you want at the beginning and deciding exactly what career you want). I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that the game doesn't let you choose the name and gender of your child but randomly gives you one. I than had him adopt a child (an African American girl named Elise).
My boyfriend told me to tell the guy to leave so I did.
Even after I had the ability to ask him to move in I still didn't have the ability to propose to him. To my shock (good shock) I forgot that it isn't so easy to get that in the Sims 2. I had him adopt a pet after I died and originally was going to have him marry a new guy. I didn't do so well as I was fired from my job due to a chance card at level 2 and than died of the illness. To give an overview, I made my boyfriend and I. Sure it's a bug in the game but it makes it more fun IMO. Since reinstalling the Sims 2 I had someone die from sickness (mysterious choking death). You really have to go out of your way to make them die of anything else. I never had a single sim in Sims 3 die of anything other than old age.
